Life...sometimes

I am a fully loaded spring...

I am so in need of this upcoming vacation...I have had it up to here(cue man showing hand at eye level) with work and stuff. I am officially in a rut and really need a recharge. I seriously cannot understand how some people save up their vacation only to cash it in. Even on the single days off that I take just to run errands, or just sit on my arse and do nothing...work wonders on me. Maybe it's just me, but with summer and all, I just do not want to work...much moreso than usual, and it kills. I wake up not wanting to go to work, and then I go home for lunch, just so I can be as far away from work as possible(and I should be hopping in the pool for some much needed cooling down) and then I dread going back, and then when I get there, I just wait for the day to end. And it's not that work is totally boring, well, maybe a little, but it's just that I haven't had a break in a while...the past few weekends have been more busy than they have been relaxing, and I just want to veg out under the sun for a few days. I can't wait...

Twas a good weekend this past weekend though...although it was busy. Had dinner w/ the roomie and his fam on friday night, where we waited over an hour to get seated...but it was a good time. His dad was telling us funny stories about him and his brother on the way home, which made for a lot of good laughs. Saturday was the big family / friends engagement partay. It was awesome having everyone meet...most of the bridesmaids and groomsmen were there too, so they go to meet each other. None of my relatives are my groomsmen... I'm not close to any of my family, kinda sad to think sometimes...but as it has always been, my friends have always been like family to me. Anyway, spent most of the morning cleaning for the party and once the party began, spent the rest of the time entertaining the families and friends, and tried to avoid getting thrown into the pool, which I did NOT accomplish. It was a great time though...thanks to all who were able to show up!

I can't believe it's only tuesday....aaaaarrrrggghhhh....

Lesson of the day
Accept that some days you're the pigeon, and some days you're the statue.

I am the dotted line...

$$$ money matters $$$
I hate money, I really do. And yeah, hate's a strong word...but I hate it... I can't stand how it determines how "happy" we can be sometimes. That things are "easier," when you have more of it. I always hear people talking about sacrifices they make to get more $$$. There are times when there's reason for making sacrifices, like to provide for your kids. When you're making the sacrifice for the good of someone else, then it can't be a bad thing, but I think a lot of the time, it's very materialistic, and even selfish at times too. I have a current delemna...I'm in a bind where I could save money and make certain sacrifices, to make life easier for a little while. But I just don't know...I don't know full well what the consequences are, and I'm trying to weigh it all out. It might seem like I've already made my decision about this, but I really haven't yet. Sometimes, I wish I could be stranded on an island and not have to worry about working to make a living or any of that. Just live off the land, the way people used to do it way back before we can even remember.

On a lighter note...

Lesson of the day
Always keep your words soft and sweet, just in case you have to eat them.

I am another hot summer day...

Footloose is one of my favorite flics. Not really written well or anything, but there's dancing in it...which is pretty cool, it's like an 80's rock version of Breakin, he he he. But yeah, so to me, it's a classic. I bet a lot of people don't know that Sarah Jessica Parker was in it, and Chris Penn is in it too, and he's skinny and ripped...but that's probably cuz no one's seen this movie...man, I'm crackin myself up, ha ha ha. But anyway, for those who HAVE seen it, the movie is about dancing. The dancing is pretty comical, cuz of how it's such an integral part of the plot. But I digress, there's this once scene where they're playing the radio outside of this like drive-in restaurant thing, like Sonic. Anyway, the radio is playing and EVERYONE in the entire joint can hear it, and starts dancing. It is down right hilarious. This small a** radio that probably has like 10watts of power and everyone's dancing, in the bathroom, in their cars, on the street...frickin classic man. But yeah, great movie, it always makes me wanna move my feet.

My goodness it's hot. Jovan's house is such a place of extreme. In the winter, it was really cold in here. And I like cold too. But it was so cold that I actually had to use a heater. Now in the summer, it's hot hot hot. I have to either run the A/C or fan at all times. Damn, the utils are gonna be expensive. Or, jump in the pool...ahhhh, the pool. The pool is awesome. But for that, I am restricted to weekends and holidays. So perfect for the beyotch...yet amazingly, I haven't gone once yet. But the pool is hardly a worse alternative than the beach; no parking, no worry about objects in the sand, etc. No beach bunnies though, just kidding beeb.

Tiring weekend. Threw a surprise shindig for the roomie, which involved waking up at the buttcrack of dawn to go play ball and then to stall him til about 1PM. Me and ku were running out of ideas, we went to Foot Locker to buy shoes, Target just to go to Target, and Office Max. The party went off w/o a hitch. Aside from the party, I played a lot of ball. 3 hours yesterday before the partay and then 3 league games today...goodness...needless to say, I am T-I-R-E-D.

Okay, time to finish the movie...did I mention that it was hot?

I am the beginning of a long short week...

The world just got scarier...
North Korea is firing test missiles. Although the tests failed...it was a test for long-range missile capability, and they KNEW action would be taken against them for doing it, and they did it anyway. Somethin's a brewin man...I dont' like it.

Anyway, let me try to distract myself from the ongoing fear that the world is about to get blown up 10 times over...4th of July weekend was great! Got to see beeb's parents, watched the Dodgers lose to the Angels, which wasn't all too fun, but fun because we got to watch the game from the suite, he he he. Chilled w/ gleen on Monday, went to Tammy's b-day thing in LA, and had a chill pool partay/bbq in LB. I hit the pool 3 times this weekend! Needless to say....I am DARK! I love it! Here's the pics from the bbq and stuff.

I love my waterproof camera!

It's a really really short week, yet I STILL don't wanna be here. I've tasted freedom, and I wants more!!!! I can't wait til Hawaii....
